Mid Level Linux Administrator/Windows Desktop Support for Al-Huda School in College Park, MD. The candidate would need to be flexible in regards to their availability to interview/start. The qualified candidate must be permanent resident and legally authorized to work in the US.

-2+ years experience in Linux systems administration, design and engineering

-Ability to manage time and balance competing priorities

-Experience working with Samba

-Experience with Windows desktop support

-Experience troubleshooting windows applications software (Quickbooks, OpenOffice)

-Experience troubleshooting hardware issues

-Experience with Ubuntu Server and Windows Server Technologies

-Experience with server virtualization solutions

-Experience with Unix shell scripting, bash and python

-Familiarity with job scheduling facilities in Unix (cron) and Windows (scheduler)

-Experience with logical volume management

-General knowledge of IT (basic networking concepts, TCP/IP protocol/services, server hardware/software, remote access technologies)

-Ability to document changes and present solutions to non-technical audiences

-General Helpdesk support will also be needed for 100+ employees and staff
